Welcome to the seventh podcast episode of The Theme Show.
Aye, listen up ye landlubbers! September 19th is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. In honour o’ this occasion, The Theme Show is donnin’ tis’ eyepatch and tis’ wooden leg, and playin’ nothin’ but songs of, about, or relatin’ t’ Pirates!
Please Don’t Forget T’ ‘isit The Official Site O’ International Talk Like A Pirate Day, For More Swashbucklin’ Fun:
2025 Note: Episode 7 remains my most popular playlist to date, with close to 1,000 engagements in the weeks following 2006 TLAPD, likely due to it being featured on the official website. It may also be due to the number of comedy, soundtrack and filk genre songs in the set – never underestimate the power of nerds like myself.
In hindsight I also realize that I think this is the first episode that re-introduces the idea of “The Theme Show Warm-Up” though now most of my high energy songs are in the middle of my sets (as per here).
There is a follow-up episode “Return of The Theme Show Pirates” but it never did gain the traction of the original.
Please be aware that all MP3 files are potentially subject to takedown, and may be removed without notice.
